Mt Buller 09
The family went to Mt Buller for a well deserved holiday.
We went in the last week of the shoulder season at the end of June and had our own little appartment in the snow.
Arrived at Melbourne airport where we stay for the night at the hotel.
Elizabeth has a giant double bed all to her own.
We caught a bus up to the resort from the airport. It's about a 3 hour trip.
We arrive at the resort entry.
Elizabeth in the snow. Cold but nice.
Both girls on the toboggan on the day we arrived.
Alexandra loves the toboggan ride with Elizabeth.
The girls in our unit on the first evening. Notice the snow through the window.
Alexandra is also keen to try skiing. Maybe in a year or two.
Elizabeth is learing to ski. Alexandra is a little red powder puff.
Elizabeth is not allowed on the ski lift until she can stop with the snow plough.
The little red powder puff.
The sun is trying hard to break through on the summit.
Great views and an empty run. Just the way I like it.
The weather: Fog to the left and clear to the right.
Breakfast with the Seven morning crew and Fifi.
Fifi at the Abom lodge for breakfast.
Sunrise on the mountain.
Elizabeth and Alexandra on the groomed slope in the morning sun.
Our accomodation in the snow. We were on the lower level. Ski in, ski out.
One of the summit lifts that was not running.
Morning on the snow. Looking down the slope to the village centre.
The family in the snow. Fun, fun, fun.
Alexandra paying dad for the ride.
Alexandra on the ride.
The little powder puff.
Alexandra happy to see dad and sister at the end of the day.
Making a snow man.
A reminder of what daddy used to ski with as a child.
Back on the bus. Making our way home after a fun week.
I was a tiring day for Alexandra. Sleeping on the bus to the airport.
Tired at the airport. We had a long wait for our flight home.
Oma and opa came to pick us up at the airport around midnight.
